 Playsense
Activity Centre is a fully accessible play centre for
individuals of
all ages with developmental disabilities. Located in the
Shelldale Community Centre, Playsense provides weekday, afterschool,
evening and Saturday play activies designed to promote fun, creativity,
and movement exploration.

Playsense provides the following services and supports:
- Unstructured/free
play & Instructor-led programs and services for individuals of all
ages (e.g. Shake it Up Fitness Classes for children, youth and adults)
- Holiday camps, PD Day
Camps, March Break Camps, and Summer Camp experiences
- Special Events: e.g. Teen
Dances, Family Days
- Specialized
adapted equipment for use in the following: Snoezelen/sensory
play room; Mat room, Large activity room for gross motor and fine motor
play
- Play and recreation for
special needs school groups, adult community groups, and others
- Multi purpose meeting
room with small library
- Opportunities for
volunteer placements for University and College students in related
fields
- Play workshops and other
information sessions (Available upon request)
Playsense's dedicated team of
staff include:

Playsense offers a variety of volunteer experiences, i.e.
Placement students from local colleges/universities, high school
students completing their volunteer hours, supported employment
programs, and Youth mentorship opportunities. If you are
